Recommendation for a
European River Cruise
A friend and I enjoyed a river cruise on the Amadeus Princess from Budapest to Amsterdam in May/June, booked through Saga in the UK. I cannot speak too highly of this holiday. The Saga representatives were excellent: knowledgeable, efficient, accommodating and friendly but not "in your face". We had opportunities for independent exploration, even in the limited time one so often has onshore.
I am really just beginning to marvel at the distance we covered,  the places we saw and the variety of our shore excursions. This is not how I have travelled in the past, having been used to in-depth, longer visits to places. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this mode of travel and the food on board was excellent.
