Reader to Reader ... Suggestions Please!
My wife and I are taking a Danube River cruise from Vienna to Bucharest in the first two weeks of September this year. We are adding on a four-day trip to Odessa, Ukraine, as we want to make a one-day visit to the nearby (approx. 75 km) small city of Sarata, about 75 km from Odessa.
My wife's maternal grandparents emigrated from Sarata in the early 1900s. We have already booked flights to and from Odessa but have made no other arrangements for our stay. We were thinking about hiring a car and driver for our day trip to Sareta.
Can any reader comment on this idea, and if positive, recommend a company or person? Also, can anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel in Odessa?
